Konteks ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal knowledge and task management application created by James Almeida. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information.

  • User content: Tasks, notes, projects, areas, and other content you create within the app.
  • Calendar data: If you connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar events to provide smart scheduling features.
  • Usage data: Basic usage metrics to enforce free tier limits and improve the app experience.
  • AI interactions: Conversations with the AI assistant are stored to provide context-aware responses.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Konteks service.
  • To generate AI-powered daily plans and recommendations based on your tasks and calendar.
  • To enable AI chat features that understand your context.
  • To send notifications you have opted into (e.g., daily plan notifications).
  • To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring that only you can access your data. All data is encrypted in transit via TLS. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase: Database hosting, authentication, and edge functions.
  • Anthropic (Claude): AI features are powered by Claude. Your task and note content may be sent to Anthropic's API to generate plans and chat responses. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Calendar: If connected, calendar events are accessed via Google's API. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel: Web app hosting.
  • Apple Push Notification Service: For iOS push notifications.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You can export your data or delete individual items, projects, and notes within the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
